When you ssh into a Unix, Linux, or BSD system and have a command prompt, but nobody told you what operating system the machine is running, you can get most of the information you need with this:
uname -a

When I started reading the news this morning it struck me that all of the coverage of the GOP debates last night (10/21) either failed to mention Ron Paul altogether, or simply mentioned that he got booed by the Florida audience because his positions on building missile bases in Europe. I thought "oh no, maybe he's slipping... maybe they managed to shut him up, maybe he said something horrible." Then I found the compilation video of everything he said. You know, when that audience was booing, I was applauding. The other candidates don't say anything anywhere near as daring or as sincere. Shame on them. Shame on Fox and the Florida audience. For me, it was another slam dunk debate victory for Dr. Paul.
Angela Byron is one of the most selfless contributors to the Drupal project. She's always there to help with people who are just getting the hang of things, or review patches, or write documentation - there's virtually no area of Drupal she hasn't improved. Now her laptop got stolen (while she was attending a dinner for Dries, of all things), and this fundraiser is to give the Drupal a community a chance to say "Thanks Webchick!"
